Privacy & data
Your schedule lives on your machine. That’s not a policy — it’s the architecture.
Humpback is local-first software. Here is exactly where your data goes, in plain terms.
Where your data actually lives
The schedule, your job list, and your crew’s details are stored in a local database on the manager’s own computer. There is no central Humpback database holding your projects or your workers’ information.
What leaves your machine
When a manager clicks Sync, Humpback writes calendar events directly from the manager’s computer to each worker’s Google Calendar. That connection goes straight to Google — it does not pass through a Humpback server, and Humpback does not keep a copy.
What our servers never see
Our company servers exist for two narrow things: checking that a license is valid, and receiving a billing event from our payment processor when a subscription changes. Neither of those touches your schedule, your job details, or your workers’ calendars.
What we do collect
A license key, an email address for billing and account recovery, and standard payment records handled by our payment processor. That’s the complete list.
Google Calendar access
Humpback requests only the calendar permissions it needs to create and update events on a worker’s calendar. It does not read a worker’s existing personal events unless the plan (Business or Enterprise) explicitly enables that, and even then it’s used only to avoid double-booking and to flag conflicts — never to analyze or store the contents elsewhere.
Deleting your data
Because the schedule lives on your own disk, deleting it is uninstalling the app and removing its local files. To close a license, contact us and we’ll remove your license and billing record from our system.
